Some thoughts about Movie Stars

(Doc opened on August 1st in 2019)
Newest log will be highlighted

ANDERSON, GILLIAN > Nothing to say but: she's divine. The talent of our times with a thousand faces.

He's a genius of storytelling.

COLMAN, OLIVIA > please, let her play Liza Minnelli a.s.a.p. - she's made for that part!

COOGAN, STEVE > regarding his potential, he definitely needs better scripts, better projects. Maybe Gary Oldman could (and would) help him finding some.

DAVIS, VIOLA
She's just made for a) giving her voice to one of the future Disney-antagonists, and b) being the next devlish character in a 007 Bond movie!

DRIVER, ADAM
To me, it's obvious that that man should play TARZAN.
And he should do it NOW!

FAROOQ, NILAM > She proves with her performance in Home Sweet Home, that she would be capable of convincing in a milestone-horror-movie, if she just had the chance.

FOERSTER, JOACHIM > I just fear, people in business doesn't see or doesn't foster his potential.

(so geschehen 2024 in THE ZONE OF INTEREST)

GIESE, GODEHARD > One of the most decent, precise and authentic german actors I've seen in the last years. His range of characters is really impressive.

HARLOFF, MAREK > is a great, gifted german actor. Did you recognize?

HAWKE & DELPY & LINKLATER > I imagine a fourth movie, and it would be the final one. It could be titled BEFORE NIGHT.
The story would be that Jesse and Céline haven't had contact for years. Surprisingly he invites her for dinner in order to explain his situation and ask her for a favour. And it's a big one. For he's diagnosed with a bad illness that he will not survive, he asks her for assisting his suicide as a last gesture of love. When they meet, he first seems to be all right and healthy - because it's an illness that's just been detected, but sadly can't be stopped. I also imagine, that this movie doesn't give an answer; the answer has to be given in the mind of the audience. That means an open end. (I do believe in this idea. Hopefully, someone with money and connections is gonna read it).

HIGHMORE, FREDDIE > after having seen him in "The good Doctor", I'd say that this is one of the most promising young actors in business. His work's honest, intense, to the point and almosts singular, reminding me of the young Dustin Hoffman (and not only because of RAIN MAN).

HOLLAND, TOM > I'm absolutely conviced that this is the man to become the next JAMES BOND 007. True: he's almost a child yet, but he's sympathic, distinguished, a brillant actor, capable of stunning action as he already showed... I'd say he's the best choice.

HOFFMAN, DUSTIN & ROSS, KATHARINE > I am longing for an oldfashioned movie about love, with the leading actors Ross and Hoffman. What has become of the legendary couple from 1967, Benjamin and Elaine? Did they stay together? Do they have children and grandchildren? Are they politically involved? What is their attitude towards death? The Score could be written by the Kings of Conveniance. Please, please, Hollywood - do that for me!

HUPPERT, ISABELLEHer beauty and talent are not the question. I just say, that she's more beautiful without tons of makeup in her face. Please - show her more natural in a film, ot like a puppet.

KEOGHAN, BARRY >  with the movie Saltburn, he shows unexpected and new, remarkable qualities of acting. Very different from most of the roles he played until then. I could imagine that Keoghan is going to be a mighty person in Showbiz (if he isn't already).

LITHGOW, JOHN > I do think, hope and expect, that Lithgow will become SIR John Lithgow, for his work is beyond any doubt.

MORGAN, DIANE > I'm convinced that the gifted comedienne would be stunning and mindblowing in the Horror Genre. Having already an idea for a truely shocking character. Please write me if you're interested in the details.

MÜHE, ANNA MARIA > Everytime I see that actress in a movie, she's become better and better and better.
Last time it was a german Netflix-series called TOTENFRAU (Woman of the Dead). Her performance is just brilliant, strong and fascinating. Is she already in touch with Hollywood?

PLATT, BEN
>  I do imagine that this actor could be an excellent new and inspiring James Bond for a coming generation. Just give him a few years. In him we find the rare combination of strength and vulnerability. And imagine: a Bond who can sing so charismatically! / Edit: I'm totally satisfied with the actual decision, this is an important sign!

RAPACE, NOOMI >  should definitely play a Cher Biopic - the sooner the better. She's the one to do it.

SCHUCH, ALBRECHT >  is one of THE german actors of importance. his brilliance barely can be topped. he seems to be able to play e-ve-ry-thing!

SESSA, DOMINIC  >  ..the fresh, rising and surprising talent just has to do a movie together with Olivia Colman - I am absolutely convinced. This would be a magic moment.

SMITH, WILL  >  Here's my statement concerning his eclat @ the 94. Oscars.
Without any question, his behavior both attacking Chris Rock and thanking The Academy while jerking tears was pathetic and sick. But I am convinced: as long as someone is able to say "I'm truly sorry", takes the consequences and accepts that they need help - there's no reason, and it's not good nor useful to punish and isolate them even more. Because making mistakes is human, and everybody deserves a chance to improve.

VON LUCKWALD, OLGA (born 1991) > nothing to say but: HUGE talent!
